OneOcean Limited offer a wide variety of training which is accredited and forms part of a career path. In some instances a client requires non accredited training, and as such OneOcean offer bespoke training to suit most needs.
Training includes:
Own Boat Tuition, be it as part of a vessel handover, new vessel familiarisation or confidence building sessions.
Mileage Building : a prerequisite for the Advanced Powerboat Exam includes 2 years relevant experience including night pilotage. As a guide 30 days, 2 days as skipper, 800 miles, 12 night hours. If you hold an RYA Advanced Powerboat Course Completion Certificate the seatime is reduced to: 20 days, 2 days as skipper, 400 miles, 12 night hours. All qualifying seatime must be within 10 years prior to the exam.
The Mileage Building sessions will include a passage plan and a full day on the water with a minimum mileage of 40Nm (see RHIB Adventures).
Theory Refresher: Having completed the RYA Day Skipper Theory Course or the RYA Yachtmaster Theory Course candidates may wish to brush up on essential elements of the syllabus. These refresher days are client led with concentrated time spent on the essentials of both courses.
