OneOcean's FPOS Intermediate Course is now Ministry of Defence ELCAS accredited. Eligible candidates either currently serving or previously serving can apply to take this course using their ELCAS funding. Contact OneOcean for assistance, information or instructions on how to apply.

OneOcean has gained accreditation with Edexcel to offer the BTEC FPOS Intermediate Qualification (Level 2 BTEC Award IHCD First Person on Scene (Basic and Intermediate). OneOcean Sea School has succeeded in attaining Edexcel Approved Training Centre status. The first course on offer will be the Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Close Protection (QCF). This course is ELCAS approved. Contact us for more details. Our Centre no. is 67567.

OneOcean has succeeded in attaining the ELCAS Approved Supplier Status. From January 2012 OneOcean will be offering ELCAS to all eligible candidates for specific training with OneOcean. Our ELCAS Supplier No. is 4334.

OneOcean have a new office for all shoreside training and briefing during powerboat courses. The unique H20 Floating Office concept is located at Penarth Marina. The office is heated for all year use and makes a welcome break from the harshest of conditions.
Courses are running in to the winter having run several Intermediate Courses. See Course Dates for all courses this winter.

OneOcean Ltd have been enaged to offer Safety Boat Cover for the filming of Channel 4's "Coma Girl".
Our special offer training of Level 2 + VHF + Radar for an amazing £350 continues throughout the summer. Training is buoyant with the good weather with courses running on the 9-10th and 13-14th - 2 places remain on the latter - or contact us for your course requirements.

We are currently preparing passages for clients who wish to gain mileage towards their Intermediate or Advanced Powerboat Certificates. Minimum requirements for participants are RYA Powerboat Level 2 though we will consider clients with experience as opposed to the qualification. Passages are extended in length and distance and would be run over 1 day. Contact us for more information.

The season is underway with Courses on the water being delivered in outstanding Spring sunshine. Courses include Powerboat Level 2 and Powerboat Intermediate interspersed wtih shorebased courses. Our first Radar Course of the year proved to be very successful and well received. Book now for a course in the sunshine and near perfect sea conditions.

Finally winter is behind us and training can be conducted in more civilised temperatures. Busy times have been had with a mix of RYA Powerboat courses and Own Boat Tuition.
A recent RYA Advanced Powerboat Refresher Course was delivered in demanding weather though the candidates were up for it and respnded to the challenges well.
The calendar for the year is set though we are flexible in making changes where required.

Following RYA accreditation in June OneOcean Sea School has been busy delivering RYA Powerboat courses from its base in Penarth Marina in Cardiff Bay.
In addition Own Boat Tuition has proved popular with owners taking training, handover and familiarisation sessions on their own vessels.
Taster sessions have also proved popular with clients enjoying the opportunity to drive a powerboat without the obligation to undertake a course. Priced at £25 per person for one hour it is an ideal way to find out if powerboating is for you. Minimum age is 8 yrs and minimum number of two persons per taster session.
